Stuck? Let's fix it.
A real person reads every message. Usually within a day or two.
Email us
Write to support@parkbrawl.com and tell us what happened. It is the fastest route to a fix, and there is no ticket system to fight with.
Include these if you can — it usually turns two emails into one:
- What you were doing, and what you expected to happen instead
- The room code of the game, if it was a game problem
- Your iPhone model and iOS version
- The ParkBrawl version, shown on the About screen — open About, privacy & legal from the app's home screen
- A screenshot, if there was anything to see
Frequently asked
How do I join a game?
Get the six-character room code from whoever set the game up. Open ParkBrawl, tap Join, type the code, pick a team name and a mascot, and you are in.
Joining is free. You do not need a subscription, an account, or an email address to play — only the person hosting needs ParkBrawl Plus.
If the code will not work, it is almost always one of these:
- It has expired. A lobby nobody starts expires after 12 hours. Ask the host to create a new game.
- The game already started. Once a game is under way, nobody new can join it.
- The game is full. A competitive game holds up to eight teams.
- A typo. Codes are six characters; check for a 0 typed as an O.
Why do I need ParkBrawl Plus?
Plus lets you host competitive Brawls, invite friends to a Scavenger Hunt, and generate custom challenge suggestions.
- Joining a game someone else hosts: free, always, for everyone invited.
- Playing solo Scavenger Hunts: free.
- Downloading the app: free.
One subscription covers the whole group, so in practice one person in the party buys it and everyone else plays for nothing. Plus is what pays for running the servers that keep everybody's board in sync, and it is the reason there are no ads anywhere in ParkBrawl.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Apple handles the billing, so cancelling is done in your iPhone's settings rather than in ParkBrawl:
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap ParkBrawl, then Cancel Subscription.
You keep hosting until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. We cannot cancel it for you — Apple does not give us that power.
For a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Refunds are Apple's decision, not ours.
Bought Plus but the app says you have not? Open the paywall and tap Restore. That is also what to do after reinstalling the app or moving to a new phone — your subscription follows your Apple Account, not the installation.
Why is a wait time wrong?
Because it did not come from the park. Wait times in ParkBrawl come from themeparks.wiki, a public third-party data source, and it can lag reality by a long way — or miss a closure entirely.
Treat them as a hint about where the crowds are, not as a promise. The park's own app and the sign at the entrance to the queue are always more accurate.
A wait time being wrong never affects the game: no square is scored on how long you queued.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. ParkBrawl has no account — your entire identity is an anonymous identifier stored on your device. Deleting the app destroys it, and with it the only link between you and anything on our servers.
Whatever remains on the server is an anonymous game record with nothing to connect it to you, and it deletes itself:
- Finished, cancelled and expired games are deleted 30 days after they end.
- Public rankings have been retired. Completed games remain in My Games.
- Push tokens are turned off after 90 days and deleted after 180.
If you would rather we deleted something now, email support@parkbrawl.com and include a room code from a game you played so we can find it. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
Note: deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel that separately, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Which parks can I play in?
The parks you can play in are the ones ParkBrawl lists when you create a game. That list grows as we build more, so the app is the only accurate answer to this question — open it and have a look.
Want a park we have not built yet? Email us — a request from a real player is the best argument for building one next.
Do I have to be in the park to play?
The game is much better if you are, but ParkBrawl never checks. It does not ask for your location and does not verify that you actually rode the ride. Claiming a square you did not earn only cheats the people you are playing with, and they will notice.
Something crashed, or a square will not claim
Two things fix most of it:
- Check your signal. Parks are the worst mobile reception on earth by mid-afternoon. ParkBrawl needs a live connection to claim a square, and it will retry when the signal comes back.
- Force-quit and reopen the app. Your game is waiting for you.
If a square shows as claimed by another team, that is not a bug — the first team to claim it owns it, and blocking is part of the game.
Still broken? Email support@parkbrawl.com with the room code and roughly what time it happened.
I am not getting notifications
Check Settings → Notifications → ParkBrawl on your iPhone and make sure they are allowed. If you declined the prompt the first time, that is where to change your mind.
ParkBrawl deliberately does not send a push about something you are already looking at, so if the app is open on screen you will see an in-app alert instead of a banner. That is working as intended.
How do I report something abusive?
Email support@parkbrawl.com with the room code and what you saw. Team names and custom squares are typed by players, and we will remove content and block an installation where it is warranted. See the terms of use for what is and is not allowed.
Still nothing?
Email support@parkbrawl.com. We would genuinely rather hear about a problem than have you quietly delete the app.
